Lurö Gästhärbärge's guesthouses are situated by the farm Stenstaka on Lurö's South-West cape. Ann-Marie and Gunnar live here. The farm is owned by Säffle municipality.
The guesthouses are:
- Fyrhuset is a lighthouse from Vänern moved here. It has 7 bedrooms with 14 beds. With the possibility of fitting an extra bed into each room and including the loft there can be 23 beds here total.
- Sjöboden is a smaller house that offers cosy accommodation with 8 beds and a cast iron heater. Here you either sleep in a bunk bed or a mattress in one of the two lofts.
- The cabins Lovart and Vindöga each have 6 beds in three alcoves, simple kitchenette, fireplace and are placed with a view of Vänern from the little terrace.
- Aggerud is the big sailboat with 6 bunks and a kitchenette.
In Logen (the barn) you find what you need to either cook yourself, in the well equipped hostel kitchen, or treat yourself to a locally produced meal in our restaurant, Lurö Krog. Outside there is a large wooden terrace to sit and eat or enjoy a drink. Further out on the rocks there are barbecue pits, tables and benches. There are also portable barbecues to borrow.
If you want to work, have a workshop or do similar group activities there are spaces equipped for conference and lectures upstairs in Logen.
Shower and toilets are in a separate building. There are 4 modern biological toilets of which one is accessible with wheelchair. There are also three showers and sinks with hot and cold water.
You clean your own room after your stay and bring your own sheets, just like at a hostel. You can also buy a set with travel sheets and a towel here for 95 SEK.
